It was a dream come true when I got the opportunity to witness the Mille Miglia in Italy in 2017, the only open road endurance race of vintage and classic cars in the world. The Mille Miglia or literally translated as Thousand Miles is also called the most beautiful race in the world, as cars from the years 1927 to 1957 drive a thousand miles over four days starting from Brescia in the north of Italy down to Rome, and then back to Brescia, all on public roads.
Not only did I witness the race and so many stunning cars at one place, but I also drove along side the participants myself over the four days in a classic Mercedes convertible. It truly felt as if I was a part of this beautiful event myself. It was a once in a life time experience and something that I will remember, cherish and rave about forever.
