This is one of my favorite shots. These rocks or pebble piles made predominantly by children on beaches and parks have an interesting story to them. In the olden days they were built as trail-markers for navigation purposes. In India, children still build these as part of a game known as 'Lagori' where seven stones are piled up and then hit with a ball. The aim of the game is to be able to break the tower and then rebuild it before getting hit by one of the opponent.
I found these cairns on a beach that were built of colorful pebbles, hence I treated the photograph in a way where I left the pebbles on the cairns in their original color, while keeping the rest of the photograph black & white / monotone.
To create a stretched canvas print, the photograph is printed directly onto an artist-grade cotton canvas and stretched around 1.0" wooden bars. This stretched canvas print provides an artistic look with depth.
The placement option shown is for stretched canvas size of 23" x 23"
